'Juniper' Adapted for Aerial Dance!
Bart and Jacob’s first book, Juniper Gets Wet, was adapted into 14 aerial performance by the local trapeze studio, Canopy.

Athens is known for its thriving art scene, but an aerial arts performance inspired by a local children’s book is eclectic, even for the Classic City.
Canopy Studio will premiere its fourth annual summer showcase, entitled “Juniper Takes Flight,” July 28 at 7 p.m. The show is based on the book “Juniper Gets Wet,” written by Bart King and illustrated by Jacob Wenzka. It is comprised of 14 acts in different aerial mediums, such as fabrics, lyra and pole, punctuated by narration by Wenzka and King.
